Call for Independent Members of NRLE Board and Audit & Risk Committee

Interested people are invited to submit a written application for membership as an Independent Member of the Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange (NRLE) Board and Naracoorte Lucindale Council Audit & Risk Committee.

For the NRLE Board, Council is seeking three people to join the Board with a two-year term to 31/12/24.

The purpose of the Board is to assist and advise Council on:
* The development and advice on the implementation of the Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange Strategic Management Plan as endorsed by Council.
* Oversight of the development, construction and general operations of the Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange.
* Monitoring of the financial performance of the Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange.
* Making recommendations to Council regarding the implementation and any recommended revisions to the Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange Strategic Plan, Long Term Financial Plan, and Asset Management Plan.
* Development of an annual business plan to assist with Council annual budget.
Applicants must have strong business acumen, and a working knowledge of the livestock industry.

For the Audit & Risk Committee,  Council is seeking three people to join the Committee with a two-year term to 31/12/24.

The purpose of the Committee is to assist Council in the effective conduct of its responsibilities for financial reporting, management of risk and governance, and maintaining a reliable system of internal controls.

Applicants must be individuals rather than corporations, and have recent and relevant financial, risk management, internal audit, governance, etc. experience relevant to the functions of an Audit & Risk Committee.
