A new bridge crossing Morambro Creek is being constructed by Bull Bros Earthmoving on Grubbed Road north of Cockatoo Lake.
The new bridge will be a significant improvement on the existing bridge, which is in poor condition and too narrow for modern farm machinery. It will be suitable for wide farm machinery, includes new culverts to improve the flow of the Creek, and improves road safety by widening and straightening the road.
Grubbed Road is an important route which is frequently used for transporting farm machinery and to access the popular Cockatoo Lake.
Council was pleased to award this $411,931 project to local contractors, and this will benefit our local economy and businesses in these challenging times.
Further works are planned for 2020-21 with Council’s draft budget including an allocation to resheet Grubbed Road.
