Naracoorte Swimming Lake to open on 27 November

A jewel in Naracoorte’s recreation crown, the man-made Naracoorte Swimming Lake, will open for summer on Friday 27 November.

Council has received approval for the lake to open in the current COVID-19 climate subject to having a COVID-Safe Plan for the lake and having a COVID Marshal on site at times of high patronage.

Patrons are urged to be mindful of social distancing, but contact tracing is not required.

Set in glorious grounds, the Naracoorte Swimming Lake is a swimming facility with a difference and an iconic attraction for locals and visitors alike.

Fully fenced with plenty of shade and lawn to picnic, the huge man-made lake with concrete floor and walls and chlorinated water has shallow sections for the littlies, deeper sections for lane swimming, a diving pontoon and an enclosed children’s area.

Get your togs ready now for the opening of the lake in just over four weeks’ time!
