Community feedback is sought on leasing three parcels of community land at the Naracoorte Aerodrome.
The land is occupied by:
- Hangar 10 (one third, part thereof)
- Hangar 9
- Hangar 28
The land is Crown Land under the care and control of Council and the permitted land use is:
- Licensed Aerodrome, with surplus land used for motorsport and grazing activities.
Council is proposing a lease term of 10 years for each parcel of land.
The Lease is for LAND ONLY and all buildings and infrastructure is owned by the Lessee.
Before granting a lease or licence for Community Land, under the Local Government Act 1999, Council must consult the community.
All land owned by Council or under a Council's care, control and management is Community Land unless the Council has resolved to exclude the land from classification as Community Land.
