"Better by Nature" Community Wellbeing Short Film and Photo Competition

It’s time to get creative and enter Council’s “Better by Nature” Community Wellbeing Short Film and Photo Competition.

The idea for the competition came from the Council’s desire to drive a community wellbeing project during these times of social isolation.

The competition is open to community members of all ages living in the Council area with prizes for people under 10 years of age, 10-18 years of age and over 18 years of age.

Council has allocated $3,000 in prizemoney for the competition, which will close on Monday 1 June.

First prize in each age group for both the short film and photo categories is $150 cash plus a $150 voucher of the winner’s choice from a business in the Council area.  Second prize in each age group for both categories is $100 cash plus a $100 winner’s choice voucher.

Short film and photo entries must be created in the period the competition is open and must be original works. Short films must be no longer than 3 minutes and photos entered in the competition must depict locations from within the Naracoorte Lucindale Council area.

The short film and photo entries should tell us something about what it’s like to live in Naracoorte Lucindale, and what people enjoy in our district.

The competition theme, “Better by Nature”, reflects the Council branding and also sends a message of hope.

Entries will be judged by a panel consisting of Mayor Erika Vickery OAM, Cr Monique Crossling, Cr Julie Earl and Cr Craig McGuire.

Entries will be promoted on Council’s website and social media pages and will be used in material promoting the Council area.
