Soccer Carnival 2019

World Cup fever is set to take over Naracoorte for  The Limestone Coast Multicultural Soccer Carnival Saturday 9th of November­. 

The carnival is FREE to attend and will use sport to celebrate a diverse and harmonious Australia by bringing together newly arrived migrants and first and second-generation migrants from different cultural backgrounds from the communities of Limestone Coast (SA), Murray and Mallee (SA), Barwon-West (VIC) and Grampians (VIC). 

The carnival will communicate the message of shared value – respect, equality and freedom.

Skills sessions opened to people of all ages and ability, whether apart of a club or new to the game.

Participants can register for more than one session

ALDI Miniroos Ages 5 – 9                     10:30am – 12 noon

 

ALDI Miniroos Ages 5 – 9                    1.30pm - 2.30pm

 

United by football workshop                11:00am – 12:00 noon

 

Coaches and Parents Clinic                   1pm - 2pm

 

Soccer Academy Ages 10 – 16yrs        10:30am – 12 noon

 

Soccer Academy  Ages 10 – 16 years    1.30pm – 2pm

 

Match it with Hakeem Al-Araibi (Match Play)  2.30pm - 4pm

About the Carnival  

The carnival aims to bring the multicultural regional communities together, providing an opportunity for local children to get active, enjoy and celebrate diversity through sport.
The carnival is free to attend, a team registration fee for soccer tournament

The carnival is at the Naracoorte and Districts Sports Centre
Gates open 9:00 event close 6pm

The carnival is for all ages. Age divisions allocated for tournament

 

The Carnival Highlights  

- 7-a-side soccer tournament consisting of three divisions U9, U13 & Open
- ALDI MiniRoos Clinics (5 – 11yrs)
- Coaches and Parent clinic
- United by football, the value of sport in youth development’ workshop

This event is funded by the Department of Home Affairs Fostering Integration Grants program.
The grants support new initiatives by not-for-profit organisations that will help migrants better integrate into Australian life through employment and community participation.
