Bool Lagoon near Naracoorte on the Limestone Coast is an oasis for birds. Up to one hundred and fifty species of bird have been recorded at Bool Lagoon.
If you've haven't got time to spot them all then take a ten minute detour to Bourne's Bird Museum where there are around 600 birds on display, the lifetime obsession of a bird-lover.
Many of the bird specimens are from road kills or have flown into power lines. All are presented in their natural glory - and are able to be viewed up close.
It's an amazing collection and is just a few minutes drive from Bool Lagoon.
